I’ve worked in IT for as long as I can remember but I am a relative novice when it comes to all things Apple. Even though I’ve been supporting them for a while, I have only had my first Apple Hackintosh for a few months and my iPhone for a few days. It’s amazing just how many things there are to learn about your Mac, iPhone or iPad that I am learning something new every day and nothing ceases to surprise me about the millions of different things you can do and discover on the devices.
And so I would like to introduce you to ‘The Apple Newbie’, a new website from a fellow Vidahost customer whose aim it is to provide tips and tricks and how-tos on all the Apple devices. Please visit the site here and let us know what you think and whether or not you pick up any tips.
In the latest release of the PHP Login script there is a problem when activating usernames with spaces from the admin panel. More details of how to repair this fix can be found here – We’ll be updating the script to reflect this very soon (Update : This was updated 25th April).
Angry Frog is pleased to release a new improved version of the PHP Login Script – Version 3.1. Some subtle and not so subtle changes have been made to improve the script. A multitude of problems with usernames with spaces have now been resolved. Users are now logged off automatically after a period of inactivity which is set by the administrator unless that user has ticked the ‘remember Me’ button. Plus many more little fixes and tweaks. To keep up to date with future updates, follow Angry Frog on Twitter – angryfrogx.
More details can be found on the Downloads Page – here.
Draw My Thing, if you haven’t already played it, is a new game from OMGPOP that seems to have gained popularity, at least among my friends and family, on smart phones and it has now come to Facebook. It requires you to draw certain objects that your friends then have to guess in exchange for Gold coins. It’s free to play with the option to buy add-ons such as extra colours. You can find out more about it here or you could just go on Facebook and a friend is bound to be already playing it.

The Big Girls Blues Band is one of the funkiest, bluesiest, soulfullest bands in and around the London clubs and pubs, or so says their website, which Angry Frog recently crafted with his fair hands. The site went live today. The Big Girls Blues Band ply their trade in and around the London pubs and clubs. I’ve seen them play a couple of times and they are extremely good, they are very popular and are booked up until the end of the year. If you live in or around London there are much worse things you could do with your weekend then visit one of the venues they are playing at.
The site is created using WordPress which in my opinion just gets better and better and easier and easier to use. If you are interested in having Angry Frog design your website or update or even host your current website, just get in touch, we are very competitive. Visit The Big Girls Blues Band here.
Hello folks! Been away a bit lately so not had much time to update the site but thanks for your e-mails and message board posts. Some of the posts on the message board have truly got me thinking about ways to improve the script.
Anyhow, I was hoping by now that some of you have it up and running on working live websites and so I would love to start linking to a few and using them as demos on the website. If you are one of these people, please send me a message using the contact us page here and give me your details.
If like Angry Frog (and the rest of the world) you are a member of Facebook, then check out the App created by Intel called ‘Intel, The Museum of Me’. It first appeared in June 2011 but seems to be doing the rounds once again on the social networking site.
The app takes you on a 3 dimensional tour of your Facebook profile, pictures videos and all. It first requires you to give it permission to access your profile and albums. Look it up on Facebook or go straight to the Intel webpage here.
